Are you an experienced Senior Buyer with a passion for global sourcing and strategic procurement?
We're looking for a commercially-minded procurement professional to take ownership of an international supplier network, sourcing precision-machined components for a market-leading engineering manufacturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you'll have genuine influence over purchasing strategy, supplier development, and supply chain resilience.
What you'll be doing:
Developing and managing an international supplier base across Europe and Asia.
Negotiating commercial agreements to secure the best value, quality and delivery.
Identifying new sourcing opportunities and driving cost-saving initiatives.
Managing supplier performance and ensuring a resilient supply chain.
Monitoring market trends, mitigating risk and improving procurement strategies.
Working closely with engineering, production and operations to support business growth.
What we're looking for:
Proven experience purchasing precision-machined components internationally.
Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
Experience working with overseas suppliers, particularly across Asia and Europe.
Good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
A strategic thinker who enjoys improving processes and delivering commercial value.
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, valves, oil & gas or similar industries would be highly advantageous.
