Senior Buyer
Northampton , office-based five days per week with occasional travel to other offices in the UK
£60,000-£65,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Senior Buyer looking for an opportunity to make a real commercial impact within a leading building services organisation?
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to play a key role in strengthening supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies and supporting the successful delivery of projects across the business.
Working closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and operational teams, you will help shape procurement strategy, improve supply chain performance and identify opportunities to maximise project margins.
The Role
Full time, permanent role with Building Services
Take ownership of key procurement activities, ensuring materials and services are sourced competitively, delivered efficiently and managed in line with project requirements.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
Negotiating competitive pricing and commercial agreements, including opportunities across multiple projects and regions.
Supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager with rebate agreements, commercial strategy and supplier negotiations.
Supporting and mentoring Buyers and Assistant Buyers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice.The Person
Proven experience in a Senior Buyer or similar procurement role.
Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
The ability to analyse market trends, manage supply chain risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
A good understanding of procurement processes, supplier compliance and performance management.
Experience within the building services, mechanical and electrical contracting, construction or wider engineering sectors
