Salary: £40,449 Per Annum
Days/Hours of work: 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
About the role: Full time (36 hours per week). Flexible working available.

We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred. From weddings to corporate parties and charity galas, we need a dedicated Senior Business Development Executive to help maximise the commercial potential of our venues.

This role is about communication as much as organisation. You’ll work with the Business Development Manager to deliver a pro-active sales strategy for the commercial events business across the six palaces. You will market, sell and promote the venue hire offer across the Historic Royal Palaces portfolio and build relationships with third parties to increase new and repeat business within the events industry. You will also represent the venues at trade shows and exhibitions both in the UK and abroad.

About you:

Essential requirements to be successful in the role are:

• Recent sales experience within the events industry.
• Experience of working with sales systems to track client activity.
• Creative thinker and solutions focused.
• Proactive and innovative, gathering ideas and content to help promote our charity.
• Desire to network and grow contacts within the events industry.
• You must be a self-starter and a quick learner with the ability to hit the ground running. Possessing the ability to work on your own initiative, you must be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to engage personably with all stake holders. Someone who can work well in a team environment, you’ll also have excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
