Description:
We are working with a Global Shipping Line seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team on a hybrid basis in Rotterdam.
Responsibilities;
* Lead efforts to procure new agents in response to business expansion requests.
* Assist in closing existing agencies and establishing owned offices.
* Oversee management of agencies in Africa.
* Support various projects across all EUA countries.
* Managing Third-Party Agents in Europe and Africa
* Ensure accurate measurement of agency performance through statistics and update third-party agent profiles.
* Managing Demurrage and Detention Collection in Third-Party Agents in Europe and Africa
* Oversee the effective management of demurrage and detention collection projects.
* Monitor demurrage and detention performance, including collection ratios.
* Coordinate with BPIT to deliver necessary training for the DMT module to third-party agents involved in assigned projects.
* Maintain communication with EUA SYM and EUA FA for assigned projects.
* Collaborate with EUA F&A, EUA Ops, and EUA Marketing to ensure accurate and timely reporting of performance statistics.
* Ensure agency remuneration complies with contracts and resolve any disputes between agents and EUA F&A.
* Monitor agent structures to ensure appropriate resourcing relative to their size and volume.
* Track total agency costs, highlight any irregularities to relevant Liner stakeholders, and identify areas for cost improvements.
* Assist with business inspections of third-party agencies alongside the Internal Audit team as requested by the Manager.
Skills Required;
* Excellent understanding of the container liner shipping industry
* Strong project management skills
* Five years experience working within the shipping industry
* Knowledge of container trade and commercial practices in the EUA region
* Good team player
* Excellent time management skills
* English language is essential, French is desirable
