Senior Business Analyst

Rate: £650/day Inside IR35

Duration: 3 months initially



Location: London preferred (Bristol or Manchester considered)

Hybrid: Flexible. Candidates based outside London should be able to attend the London office 1-2 days per month, with occasional travel to local councils as required.

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a high-profile programme focused on understanding technology and data usage across local government. This is a research and engagement-led role, working with councils and partner organisations to gather, analyse, and synthesise information that will help shape future digital and technology initiatives.

You'll engage with stakeholders across multiple organisations, facilitate workshops, and build a clear picture of current technology landscapes and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

* Engage with local authorities and partner organisations to understand technology and data challenges

* Conduct desk-based research and gather information across multiple organisations

* Analyse findings to identify common themes, opportunities, and challenges

* Facilitate workshops, meetings, and webinars with stakeholders

* Build strong relationships with councils and key partners

* Produce clear analysis, documentation, and recommendations to support programme objectives

* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to share insights and inform decision making

* Develop an understanding of technology and data practices across the local government landscape

What We're Looking For

* Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst

* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills

* Experience facilitating workshops and presenting to a range of audiences

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and synthesise information from multiple sources

* Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across organisations

* Good understanding of technology and data concepts, without needing deep technical expertise

You'll join a growing, collaborative team currently made up of around 10 people, expanding to approximately 18. The team is distributed across the UK and works closely with local authorities and government partners. Summary Senior Business Analyst required to support a programme focused on understanding technology and data adoption across local government. Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, research, and analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with councils and partner organisations
