Job Title: Senior Bridge Engineer
Location: York / Otley
Salary: Up to £52,000

A fantastic new role is now available after this multi-disciplinary consultancy has experienced it's busiest year yet! And with the forward pipeline of work looking really strong they are looking to expand the Bridge Structures team with a Senior Bridge Engineer.

You will be working with the Bridge team to deliver a number of North Yorkshire County Council maintenance and major projects. You'll also be working with a number of private sector clients to design new Highway & Footbridges across the North of England.

With the support of the Principal Engineer and Director, you will get full support towards Chartership with the IStructE or ICE and have a clear progression path to Principal Engineer and beyond.

Senior Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

Be working towards Chartership with the ICE or IStructE
Have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in Bridge structures
Have experience in leading multiple small to large sized projects and undertaking concept and detailed design reviews.
Knowledge and experience of using Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW).
Knowledge and experience of Eurocodes and British Standards for the design and assessment of bridges and civil structures.
Conversant with analysis and design software packages, such as STAAD, MIDAS, LUSAS, Autodesk SBD etc.If interested in this position but perhaps want to find out more, please contact Taylor Smith at Calibre Search Manchester.
