Job Purpose

As a member of the Marketing Team at Müller you will help us to put a smile on the nation’s face. Reporting to the Segment Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and executing your brand and segment growth strategy. As a commercial and creative leader, you will apply your skills across the full marketing mix and lead your direct reports to deliver against our ambitious targets.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

Partner with Insights team to brief and carry out consumer research and extract relevant, actionable learnings
Support development of the brand positioning strategy, informed by consumer insight, Equity tracking and Müller masterbrand fundamentals
Lead the development of annual brand plans that address the priority issues & opportunities on the brand /segment

Support the segment lead in developing the 4-year strategic priorities and growth objectives
Brief and lead agency team to build effective media plans across Paid / Owned / Earned channels, and execute and evaluate bold and compelling campaigns
Identify opportunity spaces for innovation and develop and validate new product concepts, then lead cross functional project teams to deliver the best ideas to market
Own the brand / segment P&L and lead cross-functional ‘brand champions’ team to recommend and monitor actions to maximise top- and bottom-line growth
Manage Portfolio strategy to maximise presence across channels and address consumer and commercial needs
With the ABM / BM, manage the brand marketing budget
Direct Line management of an Assistant Brand Manager, including coaching and development

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Consumer Marketing experience (preferably in FMCG) at managerial level
Experience of Brand strategy development
Proven ability to lead & influence cross functionally on complex projects
Experience developing and executing multi-channel brands campaigns
Experience of direct line management
Experience in Innovation ideation, validation and development
Commercial know-how – ideally with some past experience in Retail customer-facing role  

Professional Qualifications: Ideally qualified in an appropriate Marketing discipline / degree educated

KPIs: Working as a critical leader in the team to support the delivery of results in line with the agreed annual KPIs (market share / budgetary spend / revenue & profit growth)

Budgets & People:  Marketing budget ownership. Management of direct reports.

Business Relations: UK Leadership team influencing / Senior Cross functional/business team working (Operations; R&D; Finance; Sales; CCM; Procurement)
