Branch Assistant

Location: Pontypridd (Base Site) with travel across South Wales (expenses paid)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week £14.30ph
Contract: Temporary Agency Position with Potential to Become Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and flexible Branch Assistant to join our client on a temporary basis, with the potential opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate if business allows.

Based primarily in Pontypridd, you will travel to various customer sites across South Wales to provide cover for holidays, sickness, and other absences. This is a varied and customer-facing role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Provide cover across multiple busy trade centres throughout South Wales.

Understand customer requirements and deliver excellent service.

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Maintain stock levels in line with customer requirements.

Ensure stock availability and locate deliveries.

Pick and prepare customer orders.

Process customer returns and resolve queries.

Supply the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to customers.

Build positive relationships through regular face-to-face interaction with customers and on-site personnel.

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Support customer engagement and continuously improve customer satisfaction.

Adhere to Health & Safety procedures within a heavy machinery environment (full training provided).

Skills & Experience Required

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative.

Confident dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Basic computer skills are essential.

Experience using SAP would be advantageous but is not required as full training will be provided.

Ability to adapt to different working environments and customer sites.

Understanding of stock control and order processing is desirable.

Essential Requirements

Full, clean UK driving licence.

Flexible approach to travel across South Wales.

Ability to work across multiple sites as required to cover holidays and absences.
