Senior Bookkeeper

WE Talent are currently working with a leading Accountancy Practice in Colchester, that are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.

This position would suit a career driven accounts professional that can utilise their experience and progress long term.

The duties include:

* Preparation of year-end financial statements

* Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statement to assist clients in business decisions

* Processing invoices, payments, income and receipts into accounting software and databases ensuring that supporting documents are retained

* Liaising with clients and explaining complex financial matters

* Reconcilliation across all control accounts

* Producing and posting of opening balance adjustments

* Working to complete clients VAT returns on time

* Calculating Flat Rate, Partial Exemptiom. Global Accounting Schele and Group VAT returns

Experience needed:

* Previous Bookkeeping experience

* Previous experience using Xero, Quickbooks or Free Agent is desirable

* High attention to detail

* An excellent communicator both written and verbal
