THE OPPORTUNITY
A well-respected systems integrator are recruiting for a permanent employee to handle the design and implementation of PLC control systems and related software & hardware engineering activities for a variety of industrial control system applications.
KEY ACTIVITIES
* Development of PLC system design from customer requirements.
* Design input to system development.
* PLC programming of control systems from given designs (a customer URS).
* Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation (FDS/FAT/SAT).
* Working to customer deadlines within a project team.
* Installation, configuration and testing work at customer sites.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience in mainstream PLC Systems e.g. Siemens, Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider and Mitsubishi or similar.
* Knowledge of PLC system design.
* Good client facing skills and ability to work as part of combined client/contractor team.
* Willingness to travel and work away if/when projects require.
* HNC/HND or higher qualification.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience is expected to fulfil the requirements of this position.
