We welcome applications from SAPs, Senior Authorised Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, Project Delivery Engineers and HV/EHV Engineers with the relevant authorisations and operational experience. Experience above 33kV is also welcomed.

*

Set construction and operational teams to work safely, providing technical guidance throughout delivery.

*

Undertake HV cable spiking and pressure testing of new or modified plant before energisation.

*

Support the commissioning of primary and secondary electrical plant and equipment.

*

Maintain accurate switching sheets, operational records and completion documentation.

*

Liaise with Northern Powergrid representatives and project teams, maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

*

Experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person within the power distribution industry.

*

Current Northern Powergrid authorisations covering the relevant 11kV and 33kV duties.

*

Proven experience of HV switching, safety-from-the-system activities and issuing safety documentation.

*

A sound understanding of distribution network operations, commissioning and fault management.

*

Experience supporting network construction, reinforcement, maintenance or asset replacement projects.

*

The ability to provide practical technical leadership to operational and construction teams.

*

A full UK driving licence.

25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
