Senior ATA Paint Technician / Senior Paint Sprayer
Permanent | Full-time
Salary: £48,000 - £60,000 DOE
We’re recruiting an experienced Senior ATA Paint Technician for a new automotive repair operation.
This role is aimed at someone who knows their trade, takes pride in getting the finish right and is comfortable being one of the experienced technical people in the workshop.
You’ll still be hands-on, but you’ll also have the chance to help set standards as the team develops.
The role
You’ll take responsibility for high-quality vehicle refinishing while helping maintain strong paint standards across the repair operation.
Typical work will include:
* Preparing vehicles and panels for paint
* Colour matching and paint mixing
* Primer, basecoat and clearcoat application
* Masking and preparation
* Polishing and final finishing
* Identifying and correcting defects
* Handling more complex paint repairs
* Maintaining consistent quality and productivity
* Supporting less experienced technicians where needed
* Working closely with Panel, MET and production colleagues
What we’re looking for
You’ll need:
* ATA Paint accreditation
* Strong accident repair/bodyshop experience
* A high level of technical paint knowledge
* Excellent colour-matching and refinishing skills
* Consistently high standards of workmanship
* The confidence to take responsibility for quality
* The ability to support other technicians when required
Previous experience as a Senior Paint Technician, Paint Team Leader or experienced ATA Paint Sprayer would be particularly relevant.
