Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary practice with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional buildings and places, is looking for a Senior Technologist to join their London studio.

This is a job-running role for someone who thrives on responsibility, leading project teams, mentoring junior colleagues, and taking complex projects from brief to completion

The Role

As the Senior Technologist you will manage a small team while running several on-site projects simultaneously. You'll write full specifications, lead client relationships from any stage of the project lifecycle, and act as a technical authority across a varied portfolio of sectors.

You'll need to be comfortable managing your own workload and supervising others, delegating effectively, answering complex queries from internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating closely with other consultants to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.

Running large-scale projects (£20m+) from technical delivery through to completion

Leading refurbishment and retrofit projects, ideally within the heritage sector

Managing and delegating to junior team members and outsourcing partners

Taking briefs and developing initial proposals for technical delivery stages

Producing, managing and integrating design and production information

Advising on specification, materials selection and detailed design solutions

Managing fees, invoicing and the financial performance of your projects

Contributing to new business development

Requirements for the Senior Technologist role

Senior Technologist with 5+ years UK experience

CIAT Chartership (beneficial)

Portfolio demonstrating works on large scale projects

Ability to lead design teams and the wider consultant group around them

Strong understanding of Building regs, Uk construction methods and complex projects

Strong Revit proficiency

A collaborative style, sharp communication, and a lateral-thinking approach to problem solving

Experience with NBS Chorus

Strong Technical understanding with experience across the delivery RIBA stages

On site experience (beneficial)
