Job Title: Senior Architectural Designer
Location: Southampton
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Are you a Senior Architectural Designer or Architect with exceptional skills and extensive experience in residential developments? If you have a passion for shaping communities and enhancing lives through innovative and sustainable design, our Southampton based client would love to meet with you!
Role Overview:
As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and designing a wide range of residential developments. From feasibility layouts to planning applications, you'll work on projects of all scales from 10 to 500+ homes. You'll manage projects and small teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable design solutions that align with project goals, local regulations and client requirements.
Key Duties:
* Lead and design residential development projects of varying scales
* Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
* Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and latest legislations
* Produce associated documents, including Design Access Statements
* Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously within strict timelines and budgets
Key Attributes:
* Minimum of 10 years’ UK-based experience in residential housing developments
* Excellent residential layout design and architectural skills for outline and RM applications
* Keen interest in both urban design and architecture
* Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is an advantage
* Ability to mentor junior technicians
* Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects
* Hand-drawn sketching skills are an advantage but not essential
