Experienced Architect / Associate

Location: London, Birmingham or Leicester (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000-£75,000 DOE
Sector: Industrial & Logistics

An established, multidisciplinary architectural practice is seeking an experienced Architect or Associate to lead and grow its Industrial & Logistics sector across one of its UK studios.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take ownership of a growing sector, lead high-profile projects from inception through to completion, and play a key role in business development and team leadership. For the right individual, there is a clear pathway towards Associate Director.

The Role

Lead the delivery of Industrial & Logistics projects across all RIBA stages (0-6).

Act as Lead Designer on major commissions.

Develop and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Support business development and contribute to the continued growth of the sector.

Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership.

Produce and review technical drawing packages and construction information.

Prepare and review NBS specifications.

Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.

Ensure projects comply with UK Building Regulations, British Standards and planning requirements.

Requirements

ARB Registered Architect.

Proven experience delivering Industrial & Logistics projects.

Strong understanding of UK planning policy, Building Regulations and British Standards.

Experience leading projects through all RIBA work stages.

Ability to produce and review technical packages for tender and construction.

Experience writing and reviewing NBS specifications.

Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Strong leadership and organisational abilities.

Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Revit experience is advantageous, although training can be provided.

Desirable

Strong design capability.

Experience generating new business and maintaining client relationships.

Previous experience managing teams and mentoring architects and technicians.

Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.
