SENIOR ANIMATION PROGRAMMER
Gathered and Found are excited to be partnered with a newly funded AAA studio who are building a brand new game from scratch and are looking for a Senior Animation Programmer. They have a genuine ambition to make something that is more than a game, but a community: Games exist both on and off screen, blending football, fashion, esports, and digital assets.
The Game:
* Free to play, cross platform, AAA, esports game from scratch, with a high budget.
* The games core gameplay features and core engineering is being built using C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
* The game is not due to be released for another 2 years, so joining now means you’ll be part of the games core journey, offering an opportunity to really shape the direction and grand vision of where the game is going.
As an Senior Animation Programmer you will be a vital player in the online parts of their game.
* Spearhead the development of cutting edge animation features, tools and pipelines.
* Work side-by-side with Technical and 3D Character Artists, Designers and Gameplay Engineers.
* Take part in the full game creation process from design to implementation, debugging, polish and tuning- ensuring features are shipped under performance, memory and load time budgets.
Ideally you have:
* Experience with rigging systems, animation state machines, low-level animation systems, physics-based animation and/or IK systems.
* Strong C++ experience and familiarity with scripting systems (Blueprint, Lua, Python, etc).
* Strong understanding of multithreaded programming, memory management and preferably Data-Orientated Design.
* Good 3D Math skils.
* Experience with Runtime Animation Systems and tooling
