P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Senior Aftermarket Services Hydraulic Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Must be able to get to Aberdeen or Norwich Airport within 1 hour.
Role Summary:
The Senior Aftermarket Services Hydraulic Technician is responsible for the installation of small-bore tubing, testing, flushing and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems or components. The role requires a combinational of technical and trouble shooting skills. It will also have to support other team members, subcontractors and trainees as required.
Main Responsibilities:
Installation of neat panel and field installation tube work of good integrity and in accordance with current legislation and good working practices using twin ferrule and medium pressure fittings.
To be fully conversant with pressure testing in accordance with current standards and company procedures up to 25,000psig.
To be fully conversant with Hot Oil / Water Glycol flushing of small-bore instrument tubing and control panels to company procedures and work pack instructions.
System FAT and function testing of hydraulic / pneumatic control panels and assisting supervisors with fault-finding.
Completion of fittings take-offs, tube and panel layouts, reading of drawings and assisting in the production of procedures relating to the build and testing of projects.
Corrective maintenance and fault finding of client hydraulic / pneumatic control systems.
Inspection and surveying of client hydraulic / pneumatic control systems.
Inspection, surveying and installation of hoses.
To undertake the calibration of instruments such as relief valves, standard test gauges and pressure switches.
Accumulator repair, inspection, and re-certification. Nitrogen pre-charging of bladder / piston accumulators and dampers.
Provide written and oral documentation of job status.
Ensure the companies quality management system and design procedures are followed and standards are maintained.
Maintain and promote a professional and harmonious relationship with company and with the customers’ representatives.
The ability to complete client work orders and time sheets correctly and to the satisfaction of company, the client and the end user.
Detailed completion of project close out reports, documentation and certification (signed, dated and identified correctly for invoicing and for inclusion within certification books).
Timely submission to the supervisor or engineer.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Passport.
Current OGUK Medical.
Current OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST).
Current OPITO Survival.
Accumulator competence certificate. (Desirable)
TSBT01 – Installing and Assembling SBT Assemblies. (Desirable)
TSBT02 – Disassemble and Reinstall SBT System. (Desirable)
TSBT03 – Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing with Cone & Threaded Medium and High Pressure. (Desirable)
BFPA – Hose Integrity, Inspection and Management. (Desirable)
Significant experience in a similar role. (Desirable)
Experience and understanding of the oil and gas industry. (Desirable)
Understanding of hydraulic schematic drawings.
Proficient in Windows based software.
Person Specification:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must possess strong organisational skills.
Attention to detail to ensure a high level of accuracy is achieved.
Able to work under pressure and respond to the demands of a high and varied workload.
Able to work on own initiative as well as being a team player.
Able to communicate with clients / client’s representatives.
Working over 120 days offshore, a bonus will be received per day.
