Job Title: Senior Adventure Care Worker

Location: Lutterworth, Leicester

Salary: Up to £39,060, p.a

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Adventure Care Worker to join our dynamic and passionate team. In your Role as a Senior Adventure Care Worker, you would be working in an Assessment Home, where shorter-term placements typically lasting around twelve weeks are offered. During this period, the utmost priority is to fulfil all the daily requirements of the young residents, ensuring their safety and well-being through a rigorous safeguarding approach. Each child will be given a personalised support plan tailored to their individual needs as outlined in their care plans.

Key responsibilities for this role are:

- Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation

- Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies

- Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system and encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.

- Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from shift leaders and managers.

- Maintaining and promoting residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by Ofsted.

- Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximizing opportunities for their development

- Ensuring that a daily plan of activities is carried out to ensure that your young person receives a high level of engagement and support.

- Being proactive, vigilant, and ensuring safety when off site and away from the main registered home.

Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and qualified individual in children's residential care work, youth services, SEN teaching, or complex care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dedication and proactivity, possessing a keen understanding of outdoor activities and their role in providing therapeutic interventions for children and young people who have undergone significant trauma.

You will need to have:

* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (desirable)

* Experience in a childcare setting (desirable)

* Passion to help nurture young people.

* A real love for adventure and outdoor activities (essential)

* Activity instructor qualifications such as ML, MIAS, Lowland leader, RCI, Caving/Mining, any water sports qualification (highly desirable)

* Flexibility to spend 4 days on site (on a 4-on, 6-off rota)

* Full driving licence (essential)

* All candidates must be over the age of 21 in line with industry regulations.
