Description:

Sewell Wallis are working with a well-recognised business based just outside of York, who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to replace a member of staff who is moving on. This role is a temporary to permanent opportunity.

Ideally, you'll be immediately available or on a short notice period, so you can complete a handover with the current staff member. You'll need excellent experience in another transactional finance role, and you'll be eager to further your career and gain managements accounts experience.

You'll be a great fit if you're driven and confident, looking to join a warm and personable team.

What will you be doing?

Financial reporting
Assisting with the monthly management accounts process
Sole responsibility of budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
Transactional duties such as managing the purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and budgeting
First point of call for external and internal queries and for the audit teamWhat skills are we looking for?

Have previous experience within all round transactional finance
Have experience with high-volume invoice processing
Be a friendly and personable candidate who is eager to build relationships within the business
Be an eager candidate looking for a step up to deal with month end dutiesWhat's on offer?
