Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with an innovative and exciting business to recruit a Senior Accounting Manager to their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded accounting professional to join a business that is continuing to expand and offers real scope to make an impact.
The Senior Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing the balance sheet, strengthening controls, and supporting the wider finance function with high-quality accounting and reporting. This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical detail and working closely with the wider business. The role also offers exposure to a dynamic environment where change, growth, and improvement are all part of the journey.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and overall integrity of the balance sheet.
Support and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure strong financial controls are in place and maintained across key accounting areas.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
Support SOX compliance, controls testing, and documentation where required.
Review and challenge accounting treatment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Provide guidance and support to the wider finance team on technical accounting matters.
Contribute to process improvements and help drive efficiencies across the accounting function.What We're Looking For
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent qualification by experience.
Strong experience in accounting, financial controls, and balance sheet management.
Good working knowledge of SOX and internal control frameworks.
Confident communicator with the ability to work well across the business.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
