Senior Accountant - Charity Auditor required. Our client has provided friendly, professional, and personalised accounting and tax services since 1990. What began with just 1 member, a secretary, and a part-time accounts trainee has evolved into a thriving practice that prioritises proactive client service.
As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Senior Accountant specialising in charity auditing to join their team.
Responsibilities - Senior Accountant
Manage Audit Work: Work with the audit team to oversee the firm's audit projects, ensuring they meet regulations and standards.
Review Charity Accounts: Check and finalise charity accounts, making sure they're accurate and follow the rules.
Handle Statutory Accounts: Supervise the completion of statutory accounts for companies and adjust tax returns as needed.
Assist Directors: Help directors with emails and complex accounting issues.
Support Clients: Proactively help clients with their financial needs and build strong relationships.Requirements - Senior Accountant
Good understanding of auditing standards
Accurate and good working knowledge of accounting software packages
Good IT skills able to deal with in-house problems of clients' needs
Driving licence and access to car
Qualified ACA/ACCA with minimum 3 years practice experience
Ability to prepare financial statements for small and medium sized enterprises, to include the not-for-profit sector - CharitiesRemuneration - Senior Accountant
35 hours per week - Mon-Fri - 9am -5pm
25 days holiday plus bank holidays & an annual birthday holiday
