Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across the school.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for supporting students with SEND.
Monitor and assess the progress of students with SEND, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure their academic and social development.
Liaise with external professionals and agencies to access additional support and resources for students with complex needs.Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience working in a primary school setting.
Specialism or additional qualification in Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCo) preferred.
In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
