SEND Tutor - High Needs & Complex Needs (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £25-£35 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider that is part of a well-established Multi Academy Trust. We are looking for an experienced SEND Tutor to deliver high-quality, personalised tuition to KS3 and KS4 pupils with high needs and complex additional needs.
This role will predominantly involve working with pupils outside of a traditional school setting, delivering tailored 1:1 tuition in the home or community. You will play a vital role in helping young people who are unable to access mainstream education make meaningful academic and personal progress.
Please note: You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. This is an essential requirement for the role, with no exceptions.
The Role
Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to KS3 and KS4 pupils with high and complex SEND.
Plan and adapt lessons to meet each pupil's individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
Work closely with families and education professionals to provide consistent support.
Record progress and provide regular feedback following each session.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience tutoring or teaching pupils with complex SEND.
Strong understanding of differentiated learning and behaviour support strategies.
Patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships.
Confident working independently in home and community settings.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle - this is essential and non-negotiable.
Full-time availability.
Pay Information
The hourly rate for this role ranges from £25-£35 per hour.
To be considered for the higher end of the pay scale:
Previous experience delivering tuition to pupils with high and complex SEND is essential.
Full-time availability is required.
Final pay rate will also be dependent on the provider's allocated budget and your level of experience.
