Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Northampton seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver tailored learning and intervention programmes.
Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
Is patient, caring, resilient, and adaptable.
Has a good understanding of a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Can work effectively as part of a wider school team while using their own initiative.
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential for candidates with suitable experience).
