TeacherActive is honoured to be working with SEND schools in Nottinghamshire to find patient, dedicated and positive SEND teaching assistants/aspiring SEND teaching assistants to join them in making sure each student is supported and cared for.
The ideal candidate will be patient and understanding of the children’s needs. The schools need someone who has knowledge of various teaching methods appropriate for SEND pupils.
We are looking for people who are very open minded and can handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding. You will need to use your passion for inspiring children to enjoy learning, encouraging them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in their abilities and play an active role in school life.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
A positive and engaging attitude.
A sound understanding of child development and learning.
Great communication and listening skills.
