Pay: £95–£110 per day, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, long-term — minimum six months
First For Education is seeking a patient and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a specialist SEND school in Halesowen.
This full-time role offers a minimum six-month placement, helping you build meaningful relationships with pupils and become a consistent part of their school day.
You will support children and young people with autism, complex communication needs and additional learning difficulties, helping them access learning, develop confidence and build independence.
SEND Teaching Assistant benefits:

SEND Teaching Assistant requirements:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Confidence supporting pupils with autism and communication difficulties
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Availability for a full-time placement lasting at least six months
As a successful SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver accessible learning activities
• Support pupils’ communication, engagement and emotional regulation
• Use consistent routines and positive approaches to behaviour
• Help pupils develop social skills, independence and everyday life skills
• Share observations with the teaching team to support individual progress
