Role and Responsibilities:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils' educational and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting teachers in delivering tailored educational programs.
Providing one-on-one support to pupils, helping them with academic tasks and social interactions.
Implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting pupils' emotional well-being.
Assisting with personal care tasks when necessary.
Encouraging and facilitating communication and social skills development.
Monitoring and recording pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Creating a safe and engaging learning environment.Key Requirements:
Passion for working with children and young people with SEND, particularly those with ASD.
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.What We Offer:
