Are you a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in Scunthorpe? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a reputable Special Educational Needs School to find a passionate individual to join their team.
Role Overview: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the learning support team, working closely with students who have special educational needs. Your role will involve providing one-on-one and group support, collaborating with the teaching staff, and contributing to the creation of an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers to implement individualised education plans (EHCP's).
Contribute to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs or in a care setting is highly advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learning needs.
Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in education or care is desirable but not essential.Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday.Contract Type:
Long-term placement.Salary:
