Position Overview:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour resulting from additional needs. You will be based in the room designed for pupils with challenging behaviour and complex needs, providing assistance and guidance to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies for students with autism who demonstrate challenging behaviour.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Provide one-on-one and small group support as required
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within special education settings.
Understanding and empathy for pupils with autism and other additional learning and behavioural difficulties.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Daily Rate of Pay: £83.33 - £90 per day
Start Date: June 2024
