The School and Role

This ‘Outstanding’ SEND school, based in Sunderland, supports children and young people aged 5-11 and is looking to appoint a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work in either Key Stage 1 or 2 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This full time SEND Teaching Assistant role is long term from May ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
