SEND Teacher (Autism Resource Provision)

East London | September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Permanent | MPS/UPS + TLR (Dependent on Experience)

Principal Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded and inclusive secondary school in East London to recruit an experienced SEND Teacher for September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving specialist Autism Resource Provision (ARP), supporting students with autism and additional learning needs to achieve excellent academic, social and personal outcomes. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a bespoke curriculum while helping shape an ambitious, inclusive provision within the school.

This role would suit an experienced SEND Teacher looking to take the next step into a leadership-focused position, or an established specialist teacher seeking a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

You will:

Deliver high-quality teaching for students with Autism and associated SEND needs.
Plan and deliver an engaging, personalised curriculum that enables every student to thrive.
Lead learning within the specialist provision, ensuring outstanding educational outcomes.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals to provide exceptional support.
Monitor student progress, implement targeted interventions and contribute to EHCP reviews.
Build positive relationships with families and external agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to student development.
Support colleagues through coaching, guidance and sharing best practice in inclusive education.
Help develop an inclusive culture where every student is supported to reach their potential.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching students with Autism and/or additional SEND needs.
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies.
Experience working with EHCPs and multi-agency professionals.
Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
A collaborative approach and genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people with SEND.
Leadership experience or the ambition to progress into a leadership role (desirable).
