Pay Rate: £168 – £232 per day
About the Role
Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming specialist provision in Portsmouth.
This rewarding opportunity involves teaching pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech & Language needs and SEMH.
You'll deliver engaging, differentiated lessons while working alongside experienced support staff to help every learner develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Differentiate learning to meet EHCP targets.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and parents.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive outcomes.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Knowledge of EHCPs and adaptive teaching.
Patient, flexible and creative teaching approach.
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
