SEND Teacher – Birmingham
First For Education is seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Birmingham, supporting children and young people who benefit from a more individualised and nurturing approach to education.
This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about SEND and understands that building positive relationships, confidence and emotional wellbeing can be just as important as academic progress.
The setting provides a supportive and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on individualised learning, pupil wellbeing and helping every young person achieve their potential.
SEND Teacher benefits:
• Competitive daily rate £160–£220 per day, dependent on experience
• PAYE paid weekly

The ideal SEND Teacher will:
• Hold QTS or QTLS, or have relevant teaching experience within a specialist setting
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
• Be confident planning and adapting lessons around individual pupil needs
• Have a calm, patient and nurturing teaching approach
• Be able to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
• Have confidence supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work effectively alongside Teaching Assistants and other support professionals
• Be passionate about creating an engaging and positive learning environment
Previous experience within a specialist SEND provision, alternative provision or similar education setting would be highly beneficial.
