SEND Teaching Assistant - Full-Time, Long-Term Opportunity
Location: Louth | Immediate Start or September 2026 | Potential Permanent Position
Aspire People is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Louth, supporting children and young people aged 2-19 years. This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
This specialist setting is committed to providing a highly personalised and inclusive learning environment where every child is valued as an individual. The school delivers tailored learning programmes designed around each student's unique needs, strengths, and aspirations, helping them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and present with a range of additional needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Communication and interaction difficulties
* Complex learning needs
* Physical disabilities
* Sensory impairments
* Sensory processing differences
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Complex medical needs
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist with personalised learning activities and interventions
* Promote independence, confidence, and engagement
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families, and other professionals
* Help create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
* Support students with their communication, personal development, and wellbeing

* Experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred but not essential)

* Strong communication and teamwork skills
