SEND Supply Teaching Assistants

Details:
Description:

Rising Hope Education is expanding our team of SEND Supply Teaching Assistants to support schools across Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Newham and Tower Hamlets.

We work with a growing number of mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist SEND schools and specialist provisions, and we're looking for reliable local people who would like the flexibility of supply work.

What we're looking for

You do not need to be available five days a week.

If you can reliably commit to one, two or more days each week, we'd love to hear from you. Our aim is to build a strong local supply team so that when one of our schools needs support, we're able to offer the work to somebody who lives nearby rather than expecting candidates to travel across London.

The majority of our supply requirements involve SEND and inclusion support, which could include:

* 1:1 support for a child with additional needs

* Autism / ASC support

* Learning and communication needs

* Behaviour and emotional regulation

* General SEND classroom support

* Specialist SEN school cover

* Mainstream school SEND provision

* Supporting pupils across a range of ages

Previous school or SEND experience is desirable, but we're also interested in hearing from people with relevant transferable backgrounds in care, support work, youth work, autism services, psychology, early years or similar settings.

Pay & availability

All supply work is paid at £95–£105 per day PAYE, depending on the booking.

We can potentially offer work as early as next week if you already hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service and can complete our registration and compliance checks.

If you don't currently have an appropriate DBS on the Update Service, that's not a problem, we can talk you through the process of applying for a new DBS and getting yourself registered for future opportunities.

Why we're recruiting now

We want the people registered with Rising Hope to have a realistic opportunity of receiving regular work.

For that reason, we're not looking to register hundreds of people simply to build a database. We're recruiting a set number of reliable supply staff across each of our local areas, and once we've reached the numbers we need, we'll close applications.

So, whether you're looking for one day a week around other commitments, several days of flexible supply, or you'd ultimately like supply work to lead into a longer-term position, we'd be very happy to hear from you.

Apply today with your CV, your postcode, the days you're generally available and whether you currently have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
