Job Title: SEND Supply Teacher
Location: Sunderland
Contract Type: Long term.

As part of Ascent Multi-Academy Trust, this vibrant and inclusive SEND school located in Sunderland is looking for a Maths or English Teacher. They cater to students aged 11-19 with a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and complex needs. The school provides high-quality education, tailored to meet the diverse needs of their students, enabling them to achieve their full potential and thrive in society.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. They will work collaboratively with the supportive staff to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence in the students.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4.30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
A degree in Mathematics, English or a related field.
Experience teaching the national curriculum to students with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
