SEND Secondary/Primary Teacher - Southwark

Primary/Secondary - SEND
Based in Southwark and surrounding area
Full-Time Empowering Learning are currently looking for a SEND Teacher to work within a school based in Southwark and surrounding areas. We are looking for an outstanding and experienced teacher, who are dedicated to supporting children with various special needs. Our school supports children with various learning abilities, such as challenging behaviour and PMLD so experience of working with a range of special needs would be desirable. We would be looking for a dynamic Learning Support Assistant who can work across various age groups within primary/secondary school age.

Job Responsibilities

Plan, deliver and asses outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable SEND students to learn.
Be a class tutor, ensuring all needs are met and establish excellent relationships with parents and carers.
Engage and motivate people
Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals.
Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom.
Promote wider aspirations and values of the school.
Engage in school activities as required by the headmaster.
Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities.
Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures, including engaging in annual safeguarding training, including induction training.You must have:

Successful class teaching experience.
Experience working with children with SEND, autism, ADHD or SLD
A commitment to ongoing professional development
Am excellent knowledge of the specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught.
A degree.
