SEND Provision Coordinator

Location: Apsley or Stevenage, Hertfordshire (Hybrid working with travel across Hertfordshire)
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced SEND professional with a strong understanding of the EHCP process and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people?

We are recruiting for a SEND Provision Coordinator to join a busy Local Authority SEND team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) receive the appropriate support and provision to meet their individual needs.

The Role

As a SEND Provision Coordinator, you will act as the named coordinator for children and young people who are educated outside of traditional educational settings. You will ensure the provision outlined within EHCPs is appropriate, coordinate multi-agency support, and broker suitable packages of provision where required.

Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will:

* Coordinate and manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.

* Write, review and amend Education, Health and Care Plans.

* Commission and broker appropriate packages of support.

* Work closely with schools, families, and professionals across education, health, and social care.

* Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings.

* Ensure statutory responsibilities are met in line with SEND legislation.

* Champion positive outcomes for children and young people.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

* Previous experience working with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a Local Authority.

* Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Excellent written skills with experience producing high-quality EHCPs and case records.

* The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.

* A minimum qualification of A Levels (or equivalent).

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

* Brokering or commissioning SEND provision.

* Working collaboratively with schools and education providers.

* Co-producing plans with parents and carers.

* Negotiating with professionals across education, health, and social care.

* Coordinating alternative provision for children and young people with additional needs.

What's on Offer

* Permanent, full-time opportunity.

* Hybrid working with a base in either Apsley or Stevenage.

* 37-hour working week.

* Opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with SEND.

* Supportive team environment with opportunities for professional development.

If you have previous Local Authority SEND experience and are passionate about delivering high-quality support for children and young people, we'd love to hear from you
