SEND Teaching Assistant – Long-Term & Contract Roles Available

Bristol | September Start | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

TeacherActive is currently working with a number of primary schools across Bristol who are looking to appoint experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for long-term and contract positions starting in September.

We are looking for passionate and patient individuals who can support children with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, SEMH needs and pupils with EHCPs.

These roles may involve:

Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
Supporting small intervention groups
Working alongside class teachers and SENDCos to deliver tailored support plans
Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
Supporting pupils both within the classroom and in specialist SEND provisions
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
A calm, positive and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD or Speech & Language needs (desirable)
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
