SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant – North Norfolk

Location: North Norfolk
Role: Secondary Teaching Assistant – SEMH
Type: Full-time / Long-term

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Grade A Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive SEMH setting in North Norfolk.

The school is a small, welcoming specialist setting based in a characterful Victorian building, providing a calm and supportive environment for students who may require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health needs.

The Role

* Supporting secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.

* Providing 1:1 and small-group support.

* Helping students engage positively with learning.

* Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.

* Building positive and trusting relationships with students.

* Working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

* Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and resilience.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

* Experienced working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs.

* Confident supporting secondary-aged students.

* Calm, patient and resilient.

* Able to build strong relationships with young people.

* Consistent and positive in their approach.

* Passionate about helping students achieve their potential.

Previous experience within an SEN, SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, youth work or pastoral setting would be highly desirable.
