We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Key Worker to join Staffordshire County Council as a SEND Key Worker.
Location: Biddulph Town Hall, Staffordshire
Pay: £17.94 per hour
Contract: 3 months plus ongoing
About the Role:
In this rewarding role, you'll be a key point of contact for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. You'll work closely with them to understand their needs and develop a personalized support plan to help them reach their full potential.
What you'll do:
Build trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families.
Assess individual needs and identify areas where support is needed.
Work collaboratively with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop a comprehensive support plan.
Connect families with relevant resources and services, such as therapists, benefits, or financial assistance.
Monitor progress and make adjustments to the support plan as needed.
Ensure the well-being and safety of the children and young people you work with.Who you are:
You have a passion for supporting children with special needs and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
You have experience working with children and young people in a caring and supportive environment.
You're a strong communicator and can build rapport with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds.
You're a team player who can work effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.
You have a good understanding of SEND legislation and safeguarding procedures.
