Job Title: SEND English Teacher (Post-16)
Area: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: Monday 12th October 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £1,000-£1,450 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the role:

Deliver high-quality, tailored English teaching to post-16 students, including Functional Skills, Entry Level and GCSE pathways where appropriate
Plan and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and Preparing for Adulthood goals
Work closely with the SENCO, support staff and parents/carers to provide a consistent and holistic approachWhat We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream or post-16 environment)
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management
Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing every young person's progressTo be eligible you must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
