Deputy Headteacher (SEND)
Location: South East London
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to support the Headteacher in leading our SEND school. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-quality teaching, improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, and supporting the strategic development of the school.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Significant experience working within a SEND school or specialist provision.
Proven leadership experience at senior or middle leadership level.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCPs, and inclusive practices.
Experience of improving teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes.
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership of the school.
Lead on teaching, learning, and curriculum development.
Monitor and improve pupil progress and achievement.
Support safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
Line manage staff and lead professional development.
Build effective partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
