Description:

School: Independent Prep School

Location: Oxfordshire/Berkshire borders

Role: SENCO & Pastoral Lead

Start Date: September 2024

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (possible accommodation)

A fantastic independent prep school on the Oxfordshire/Berkshire borders is seeking a SENCO & Pastoral Lead for September 2024. This is a full time and permanent role.

This independent prep school is an inspiring place to learn - a warm, caring and collaborative environment with outstanding teachers, first class facilities and an enriching curriculum.

Everyone knows each other at this school and each member shares in each others success. This friendly and supportive environment means that children feel happy and safe; giving them the confidence to embrace new challenges and opportunities. The school is set in acres of countryside so that outdoor learning can take place and children are given the opportunity to have fun and enjoy their childhood.

The Head is seeking to appoint an energetic and committed SENCO who is capable of developing effective strategies which will enable SEN pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful applicant will be a well-qualified and experienced teacher who is confident, engaging and resilient. You will have the ability to motivate your team and pupils. Applicants will ideally hold QTS and OCR Level 7 or the NASENCO or equivalent. You must have experience of working with children on the SEN register, be experienced in implementing a wider range of strategies to help pupils with learning difficulties and liaising with external professionals.

If you are interested in working in a vibrant independent prep school and have experience of working with children with SEN, please apply by sending through your CV or contact Duncan Eaglesham on (phone number removed) for an informal conversation and more information. The school has a strong ethos of student welfare therefore any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS)
