The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all students receive the support, opportunities and high-quality education they need to thrive.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, families, external professionals and students, you will provide strategic leadership for SEND across the school and ensure that effective systems and interventions are in place.

The Role

As SENCO, you will:

Oversee the identification, assessment and monitoring of students with additional needs.
Work closely with teachers to ensure appropriate differentiation, reasonable adjustments and effective classroom strategies are embedded.
Coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews and liaison with the Local Authority.
Manage and support the SEND team, including teaching assistants and other specialist staff.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for students.
Monitor the progress, attainment and wellbeing of students with SEND.
Contribute to whole-school improvement and staff training around SEND.
Promote an inclusive culture where every student is supported to achieve their potential.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.
Holds, or is willing to complete, the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) where required.
Has excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Can work strategically while remaining focused on the individual needs of students.
Is confident working with parents, colleagues, Local Authorities and external professionals.
Is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for young people with SEND.
Can lead, inspire and develop colleagues across the school.

Why Join Us?

Our school offers a supportive and ambitious environment where staff are encouraged to develop professionally and make a genuine difference to students' lives.

You will benefit from:

A supportive and collaborative Senior Leadership Team.
A dedicated SEND and pastoral team.
Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
A positive and inclusive school culture.
The opportunity to shape and further develop SEND provision across the school.
A diverse and vibrant North London community
