Make a Difference as an SEN Tutor in Chester-Le-Street

Prospero Teaching works closely with Local Authorities, SEND teams and education providers to support young people who need additional help with their education or are unable to access mainstream school.

We're looking for experienced SEN Tutors to support students from KS2 to KS4 across the Chester-Le-Street area, providing personalised tuition in English and Maths.

About the Role

As an SEN Tutor, you'll work with students on a 1:1 or small-group basis, supporting young people with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.

Every student is different, so you'll adapt your approach to suit their individual needs, interests and learning style. The aim is to create a positive and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills and make progress at their own pace

Position Details

Pay: up to £30 per hour (DOE)

Hours: up to 15 per week per student
Start date: October 2026
Location: Chester-Le-Street
Duration: Ongoing
Access to CPD training and learning resources

Your Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs
Support students' academic and emotional development
Track progress and provide feedback to parents and professionals
Complete basic attendance and progress reports

Requirements

Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS4)
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
Two years of verifiable referencesApply Now
