Job Title: SEN Tutor (Part-Time)
Location: Salford
Start Date: Immediate / Flexible
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time

We are seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to support children and young people in Salford. This role involves delivering personalised tuition and mentoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them engage with learning, build confidence, and develop essential skills.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience teaching or mentoring children with SEN, a strong background in behaviour management, and at least six months of UK-based experience supporting learners with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored one-to-one or small-group support for students with SEN.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods, resources, and lesson pace to meet individual student needs.
Mentor and support students, promoting confidence, engagement, and progress.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
Support learners with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 6 months of UK-based experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring children with SEN.
Proven track record of effective behaviour management.
Experience supporting learners with complex SEN profiles.
Patient, adaptable, and confident approach to supporting childrens emotional and behavioural needs.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications:

PGCE in Secondary or Primary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Familiarity with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
Experience preparing students for formal assessments or GCSEs.
