At teaching personnel we are looking for educators who have a genuine passion to engage with students and build a positive rapport, that not only helps them socially and emotionally but will also support them in gaining the skills and qualifications to succeed.

As a SEN/SEMH tutor, you will have a good understanding on the importance of tailoring the learning experience to the individual and identifying what works for them.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team to facilitate and provide individualised learning for students that find the school curriculum challenging. Responsibilities:

To provide 1-1 or small group tutoring sessions that are tailored to the individual or the group.
Able to recognise where students are struggling and adjust the lesson plan to suit their needs, while also being able to see where their strengths are and develop the work.
Communicate regularly with students, parents and other school professionals to effectively monitor progress and adjust lessons where appropriate.
Apply evidence-based strategies to support student progress and emotional wellbeing.
Must have:

Educated to a degree level in teaching or relevant experience.
Enhanced DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
At least 6 months experience working in secondary.
Previous experience working within the SEN or SEMH sector. Experience working with Autism would also be beneficial.
Experience in delivering core subjects up to GCSE.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and build positive and effective rapport with students.
Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in having a positive impact on students’ lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
