SEN Tutors Required - Brighton & Surrounding Areas

Remedy Tutoring is seeking patient, dedicated and experienced SEN tutors to support primary and secondary-aged students across Brighton and the surrounding areas. We are looking for tutors who can provide tailored, engaging tuition to meet individual learning needs, build confidence and help students make meaningful academic progress.

The role may involve supporting students with:

Phonics, early reading, spelling, writing and letter formation.

English and Maths, including students working below age-related expectations.

Difficulties with concentration, processing information and maintaining focus.

Low academic confidence, anxiety around learning and difficulties asking for help aswell as a variety of SEN needs.

Additional learning needs requiring a structured, flexible and individualised teaching approach.

Essential experience and qualifications:

A relevant teaching qualification, such as PGCE, QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Experience supporting children and young people with SEN and additional learning needs.

Strong knowledge of primary English, phonics and Maths.

The ability to differentiate lessons and adapt resources to suit individual abilities.

A patient, nurturing and encouraging approach to help students feel comfortable and confident.

The ability to break learning into manageable steps and use visual resources, practical activities and clear instructions where appropriate.

Tuition may take place in students' homes or educational settings, depending on the placement. We are looking for tutors who can build positive relationships, work at the student's pace and create a supportive learning environment.
