Pay: £90 - £105 per day

A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Wokingham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school provides tailored support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will provide personalised support to pupils both within the classroom and throughout the wider school environment.
Key responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
Assist pupils with their learning, development and engagement
Adapt activities and communication approaches to meet individual needs
Support pupils with social, emotional and communication development
Encourage independence and confidence
Help manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategiesThis role would suit candidates with experience in SEN, education, childcare, youth work, care or support work, as well as graduates looking to gain hands-on experience before pursuing a career in teaching, Psychology, Education or related fields.
The school is looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, reliable and adaptable, with the ability to remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations. Previous experience working within a specialist setting is advantageous, but not essential.
